We are on the Downtown Irwin 2009 Christmas Cookie Tour! | Saturday, December 5, 2009, 12 Noon to 3 PM | During Downtown Irwin's 2009 Christmas Cookie Tour, everyone will be able to visit Santa in the Covenant Hall Theatre from 12 Noon to 3 PM on Saturday, December 5th. Children will also especially love sitting in the Youngtimers' Express Choo Choo Train as well as visiting with some beloved storybook land characters. Children can also make a Christmas ornament and listen to Christmas stories read by the Youngtimers! Don't forget your cameras as the stage will be very beautiful for your visit with Santa! | | |

Humperdinck’s opera, Hänsel and Gretel has captivated the world since its premiere in 1893 and has been translated into 20 languages! The New York Times wrote that it is no more a children’s opera than Alice in Wonderland is a children’s book. They said that although children are enthralled, it is an artwork very much for adults and thus we Youngtimers are hoping that children of all ages will come enjoy a taste of our version of Masterpiece Theatre!
